Lake Mac Airlines is working towards re-establishing the Lake Macquarie to Sydney passenger air service that operated profitably for more than 30 years between 1971 and 2004. Lake Mac Airlines have undertaken significant work researching and investigating the viability of the commuter air services that was hugely popular with Lake Macquarie locals.
Following many months of hard work, including working with the aviation regulator CASA, Lake Macquarie Airport and commissioning important market research, Lake Mac Airlines is progressing towards making passenger flights to Sydney a reality.
Planning work will continue over the coming months before Lake Mac Airlines enters the next phase to secure funding and operational partners, including an aircraft operator, with services expected to commence in 2023.
