On Thursday 25 August, Lake Mac Airlines met with the Board of Dantia to provide Directors, including the Mayor and CEO of Lake Macquarie Council, with an update on the work that has been undertaken and what our next steps are.
Dantia is the economic development company owned by Lake Macquarie Council charged with leading Lake Macquarie City's growth strategy by working with the business and community sectors, along with all levels of Government to realise new opportunities that benefit the region.
During the update Directors had plenty of questions and were excited about the prospects of having a commuter airline service re-established, a service that was and still is highly valued by the Lake Macquarie community.
A great deal of work has been undertaken to date including the composition of a full and comprehensive business plan covering significant research, the proposed service offering, company structure, cashflow and financial forecasts, capital and start up requirements, market research and expansion opportunities. Dantia is committed to supporting Lake Mac Airlines to help ensure the re-establishment of an air service to Sydney is successful.
The next step for Lake Mac Airlines is to engage with investors in order to secure financial support and backing for what is a truly exciting project that will benefit the Lake Macquarie region.
